When you excite or stimulate your brain before going to sleep, it will make it hard for your body to rest and if you try to sleep, this will also stimulate your brain and accelerate your sympathetic nerve. If you want to sleep well, you have to stable your brain for at least one to two hours before going to bed. Try to avoid doing things that will overdrive your brain such as studying or working and listen to quiet music that will calm your mind or read light books or magazines.
Another effective way to sleep well is to lower the light in your room. Make a habit that you will do before you go to sleep everyday so your body and brain will recognize and naturally prepare to go to sleep. If you still can’t go to sleep, don’t try too hard to fall asleep because the thought that you are forced to sleep will make your brain nerves excited and make it worse for you to sleep. Another way is to get out of bed and get refreshed and change your mood. If you settle your mind for a little while, it will make it easier for you to sleep well.
